One of the many green marketing initiatives The Greenfield Group is involved in is donating CFL bulbs so that they are exchanged with energy wasting incandescent bulbs for free.
The Greenfield Group donated 161 more CFL bulbs yesterday to CALPIRG Energy Services, a non profit out of San Diego determined to help reduce energy usage by simple things as a bulb exchange. The CALPIRG team then went out, door to door in Ocean Beach and exchanged one incandescent bulb for one free CFL bulb to each house.
This is the second bulb exchanged sponsored by The Greenfield Group. The first time 250 bulbs were exchanged within Ocean Beach, meaning a lot of energy has been saved in San Diego as a direct result. Over the lifetime of these 411 bulbs, over $15,000 in energy costs will be saved, and that is only factoring today’s costs. This means that 82,500 KwH saved and 130,350 lbs of CO2 emissions prevented.
After realizing the inflation that will occur over the next decade, it is likely much more than $15,000 in energy costs will be saved. Not only will the residents of Ocean Beach be happier with more money in their pockets, the earth will be happier knowing less wasteful energy is used.
This bulb exchange is just an example of one of many ways using our services for your marketing needs will not only help increase demand and traffic, but will result in a better earth. We pride ourselves knowing that every time we gain a customer, the planet will be better off, since we are the only carbon negative marketing company that guarantees results.
