If you haven’t already, you have to make sure to join the Stamp Stampede! Stamp Stampede is an organization founded by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield of Ben and Jerry’s that is aiming to stamp money out of politics.  They sell stamps with cleaver slogans to be used on dollar bills, encouraging others to become informed and help pass a constitutional amendment to put limits on campaign fundraising.

The Greenfield Group founder, Rob Greenfield, has fallen quite keen to this idea, and decided to partner up with the ice cream masters to help get the word out.  He has made this money suite, made entirely of sewn together stamped dollar bills to help get the word out there.  Make sure to keep an eye out for him, you never know when you’ll see him!

Rob just recently returned from his Do Good Tour, where he cycled down the coast of California doing good for others and hosting “Stamping Parties” in major cities along the way.  These stamping parties are where Rob goes down to his local bank, exchanges $1,000 in large bills for 1,000 individual dollar bills, and invites everyone he can.  Individuals than trade their $5′s, $10′s, and $20′s for singles and stamp these singles while having fun hanging out with like minded individuals.  Ben and Jerry’s even provided free ice cream to help the experience.

Rob has been able to host quite a few of these, with plans for more.  According to Stamp Stampede, every time a bill is stamped, it will be seen by an average of 875 people in its lifetime.  Rob has helped to stamp 5,000 bills ($14,000) thus far, meaning that over 4.3 million people will see this message due to his efforts in just the past few months.

Rob has many plans for the future to continue Doing Good.  He hopes to host more stamp parties, influence individuals through another cycling adventure, as well as donate his own funds towards random acts of kindness.  If you ever want to host a stamping party in your area, feel free to contact Rob for some tips: Rob@GreenfieldAdventures.org.
